STEAM to PRO Pathway (primary to professional level of drone training and exams with Official certificates awarded by AOPA upon completion)

2025 BETT Exhibition Drone Event (exciting drone remote control involving several HK schools' participation following massive success in BETT 2024. As pioneers of incorporating 5G into primary and secondary studies, we plan to turn this into a global event, further promoting and building Hong Kong as an International 5G Drone Meta Education Centre.

18 New Training Centres (Including in HKBUAS) and 100 China Tourist Spots for our students to visit and engage with via drones.

Upon completion of training, students will be equipped with the skills and license to pursue endeavours in the low-altitude economy and other industries.

STEAM to PRO

Starting from a primary level, students will be encouraged to continue along the S2P (STEAM2PRO) pathway until a professional level. 5GNU offers full support in training and theory, and students will be gaining official certificates proving their drone pilot status’.

AOPA 5Gai3D Course

The Original STEAM course made for students starting from Primary School ages.
This is the world’s only K12-5G Drone Solution.

Includes:

  • 5G Drone control to remotely control drones even from a large distance
  • Learn how to code drone formations with AI
  • Learn how to program drone formations and performances via coding and QR
  • Be Awarded an official AOPA certificate after written and flight exam

This Course uses our “CLIP” Drones, our 5G solution paired with DJI’s drones.

HKUST-CAESAR X 5GNU Course

Built upon our original AOPA course, our CAESAR Course offers extra lessons taught by HKUST PHD Professionals.

Gain practical experience flying drones, learn about aerodynamics, drone formation, LED performance, Ai3D modeling, Drone surveying, 5G technology by learning from industry professionals– join our course now to get an official CAESER x 5GNU certificate of award upon passing the test.

PRO Course

Built upon the HKUST-CAESAR Course. Our PRO Course targets students who want to control industrial drones. 60 Hour course. 

Awarded an official AOPA Drone pilot license upon completion. 

Extensive practical flight simulation and practical flight practice, as well as in-depth training.

Course hours: 8 days, with 1 day of industrial 5G training– 60 hours in total (combination of 5G x AI aviation and VR simulation + HKUST in person lectures +Ai3D drone capture + AOPA certificate)

Course Target: High school students and Pre-University students. However, we are open to elite students from each school to participate.

(Blended learning including 1-1 in person and online teaching materials/videos) 

  • Topics on 5G and Training: With our VR flight simulation system, students will be able to undergo training in industrial drone control. 
  • Written test training: Students will learn all the theory behind the written test, including:
  • Aerospace dynamics
  • Topics in 5G
  • Experiments conducted by HKUST experts in order to explain concepts 
    • Day-4 to 6 X8 drone practice and written test training
    • Day-7 practice and exam
    • Day-8, practice and 5G

    At the upcoming 2025 BETT exhibition, 5GNU is expecting bigger news in the coming year: 5GNU has an exciting break-through 5G drone solution to announce, and are hoping to have their students help them present to the press and media during BETT 2025 (during BETT 2024, 5GNU was interviewed by various big associations, including the associated press, yahoo news, and BETT official press etc..)

    We will be debuting our live 5G remote viewing of interacting with students and schools in Hong Kong and Mainland China to the press.
